Based in the Shearway Business Park in Folkestone, Kent, Grand Auctions is a firm of fine art auctioneers and valuers.
Our staff are fully qualified specialists in their fields. Jonathan Riley is a published expert on 20th Century British paintings with forty five years in the business. Simon Rufus, formerly of Christie's, is a qualified gemmologist and diamond grader. Robin Newcombe, formerly of Bonhams, also spent six years on the valuation desk at Christie's, London.
We hold regular sales of paintings, jewellery, watches, gold, silver, quality glass, ceramics, Asian art and general ‘collectables’. All lots are fully illustrated on our website and also appear online with www.the-saleroom.com where it can be accessed worldwide. All our auctions support live online bidding. Viewing takes place in our climate controlled offices in Folkestone.
No Sale - No Fee
Grand Auctions operates a 'No Sale - No Fee' policy. If your items do not reach the agreed reserve, we make no charges what so ever. You can either collect your items or re-enter them at a future sale.
Covering the south east
We hold regular free auction valuation days across the county. We visit Ashford, Broadstairs, Canterbury, Dover, Faversham, Folkestone, Hythe, Maidstone, Rochester, Sandgate, Sandwich, Tenterden, Tunbridge Wells and Whitstable. Alternatively you can make an appointment to visit us at our Folkestone offices. Home visits can be arranged for larger collections.
Insurance & probate
Grand Auctions also specialises in insurance and probate valuations. It is your job to convince an insurance company to pay out the correct amount. It is equally important that possessions are valued correctly following death or divorce. With years of experience in the field we handle estates sensitively and professionally.
